Top Color Trends For 2022

Hi everyone!

I can’t believe we are already at the end of another year! This year went by so fast but each new year brings about new and exciting interior design and color trends. Let’s dive right in and take a look at the 2022 interior color trends! We will be taking a look at the top colors from a few big retailers.

When you want to change up the interior of your home, picking a new fresh paint color can make all the difference! These 2022 color picks will give you all of the inspiration you need to spruce up your home!

Sherwin Williams, whom I use for all of my projects has chosen “Evergreen Fog” as their 2022 color of the year. It is a gorgeous organic green color with a mix of grey and blue that gives off a fresh, timeless, and relaxing vibe. Even though it is a green, it is soft enough to act as a neutral in your home and freshen up your space.

Pantone has released their color of the year and let’s just say…purple is making a comeback! Leatrice Eiseman, the executive director of The Pantone Color Institute explained this color perfectly; “Encompassing the qualities of the blues, yet at the same time possessing a violet-red undertone, PANTONE 17-3938 Very Peri displays a spritely, joyous attitude and dynamic presence that encourages courageous creativity and imaginative expression”. I can’t wait to see
this color is brought to life in home interiors!

Benjamin Moore has chosen ‘October Mist’ as their 2022 color of the year. It is a gorgeous soft green color similar to Sherwin Williams “Evergreen Fog”, just a bit on the lighter side. Benjamin
Moore’s press release states it is “a gently shaded sage that quietly anchors while encouraging creative expression through color.”

Last but not least, we have Farrow and Ball. They have chosen “Babouche” as their color of the year. This is a cheerful golden yellow to bring happiness into your space. It was named after the color of leather slippers worn by the men in Morocco.

What do you think of the 2022 color trends? Are you ready to incorporate any of these colors into your home?
